Default Remains of Sahlahja (lost souls for armor)

My question is if somebody know how many lost souls you have to kill in the challenge mission before you get one 'ancient armor remnants'? I was able to kill two in a row so far and had +600 points, also killed over 100 of those maddened spirits in that run but got no armor. This challenge mission is extremely hard imo. Those lost souls are very hard to find. Practice makes perfect they say, so I'll exercise some more I guess.

The first challenge mission (Dajkah Inlet) was a walk in the park compared to this one.

EDIT: Very weird, I was just able to kill 2 lost souls in a row again and now I got the armor piece.

I'm curious as to how you managed to kill so many.

Anyhow, it's kind of a random thing with the lost souls; if you want armor, as soon as you open up most of the area go hunting for them.

I 55'ed the place and switched between wurms and stuff. I think I was in for almost 2 hours.

Sheesh, this game is so unbalanced. I'm in there as a warrior and last 5 seconds.

I 55ed the place and got bored at 400 points, without killing any lost souls or becoming a wurm - no armor for me.

Afterwards I tried playing it properly using a wurm...try get your 60 points in the central area to open all doors then just tunnel like crazy around till a lost soul spawns near you, ignoring the maddened souls. I got one lost soul and got one armor after that. However actually finding a lost soul is pretty difficult in itself.

I personally think it's BS that you can 55 this area. I made third daily with 161 just now, legit, and I check the board and see a 900+. I got an armor piece, but it still kinda burns me that ANet didn't make the skill like the description says, 700% of Max Health instead of 700 damage. Oh well, I figure I'm the only one who really cares.

You are kind of missing the point here... You can only 55 on the small areas that aren't the deadly sand stuff, and chances of a lost soul appearing on there at the same time as you are close to none. So yeah, it's kind of a glitch that you can 55 for high scores, but you won't get any armor for your hero that way, which is actually the point of the mission.

I get the point; my beef is with ANet whenever the game behaves in a way it shouldn't. I think it's kind of nice to be able to hit a high score, not have your score dwarfed by a 55er who got 900 points.
